For the past many decades, Phyllis Brennan was not just a fixture, but a force in both the Arnprior and Renfrew Bridge Clubs of Eastern Ontario. Everyone knew that Phyllis Brennan would play all day every day if she could and her many partners would swear that Phyllis never met a hand she wouldn’t bid. She was fearless, relentless, and spontaneous. She was much beloved.
In 2020, after Phyllis passed away, our club received a generous donation in her honour. Phyllis’ long-time partner, Arthur Ham, suggested that we use the funds to create an award in her name.
We are pleased to announce that the Annual Phyllis Brennan Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the pair with the highest percentage score achieved during an Arnprior Club Members Only game.
This year, that will be at the Club BBQ Saturday, Aug. 12.
