Christmas Party Pictures & Results

Yesterday, Dec. 9, we held our annual Christmas party at the club (and this year we weren’t snowed out).

We had 12 tables (one more than even I was expecting and I was taking registration, LOL). It was so exciting to see some new players come out and try their luck and enjoy our club’s amazing hospitality.

The Christmas costumes and sweaters were amazing. A special thank you to Reta Murray who sacrificed her costume’s festive necklace batteries for one of our dead Bridgemates. Too funny.

Mama Rosa’s provided an awesome turkey dinner with all the fixings. (We had so much leftover mashed potatoes that we couldn’t give it all away.) AND the desserts!! WOW! Thank you to all the volunteers who provided them.

Club Results

Christmas Costume Winner

Congratulations to Reta Murray who took 1st place (I wish I had gotten a picture of those reindeer slippers). Coming in a close second and third were Eleanor Hotchkiss and Adrian Mancini with an honorable mention to Charles Brown.

Thank you to Yvonne Lely for providing the first place winner with homemade fudge!!

Director’s Cup Winner

This Director’s Cup was donated to the Club by Bob and Judy Ripley (very, very good bridge players) who used to play here but moved to BC some years ago. The Ripleys always liked and admired our club and their intent was that the director should decide each year who should get the trophy and why. So over the years, it has been awarded to many different people for many different reasons that make our club what it is.

This year’s winner is Shari Phillips (awkward) for her work on schedules, the website, seasonal decorations… and of course the embarrassing photos.

From me: THANK YOU!!!!
